Hope

#6 in the Butterfly Series

I need something to have faith in.

Gesso, black Staz-On ink, acrylic paint, die cut butterfly, doodlebug designs alphas, BG rub-ons. (The background is the scrap paper I was inking/painting another mini art card on. You know, the piece of paper we usually trash when we're finished?! Trash to treasure, I guess : .)

The Crafter

I got my Stampotique Originals (Daniel & Penny Torrente's art) stamps in the mail this week!

I'm feeling like this Crafter is my alter-ego, a crafty gurl, holding her heart in one hand and a pair of scissors in the other (what will she be cutting up with those..."a paper man cut into shreds, by his own pair of scissors"...sorry, I digress that would be the lyrics to Papa Roach's Forever...hee!) I think I'd look great with this haircut too!

Anyway, gesso, black Staz-on ink, red glitter glue, watercolor paints, EK Success Bookworks alphas.

Twin Souls

#5 in the Butterfly Series.

My stream of consciousness thinking really takes me to interesting places sometimes! I got the cutest pix of a set of triplets from a friend, thot of multiple births, thot of twins, thot of siamese twins, thot of twin butterflies, thot of siamese twin butterflies, thot of twin souls, yin and yang, black and white, balance...viola!!! Here we are!!! phew!!!

B-Mor

I've been trying to find something that I could be proud of doing in service to my fellow man, something socially redeeming, something that makes a difference. Missionary work, Peace Corps., local volunteering, child advocacy...the list goes on. I haven't been able to find the niche I fit in.

On the way to work the other day, I drove past the Biltmore Hotel. Some of the letters in the sign were burnt out, the message was clear!!! B mor! Yes!!! I'm trying, but Universe, if you're gonna encourage me, can you also point me in the direction in which I'm supposed to go? Thanks!!!

Gypsie Heart

Playing with the "Gecko" acrylic paint. You gotta love a shade of green that is named "Gecko!" I also used Quinacridone/Nickel Azo Gold. Say that 5X's fast!

2 of hearts. (Sigh, one can dream!) Oh and how ironic that I did a heart on the 2 of hearts. Annnd, the next holiday is Valentines Day. (Never mind that I do a lot of heart art!!!)

Habla Blah Blah

Cingular (the new AT&T) had a billboard that was targeted to the hispanic community as well as a play on words. Hysterical! I couldn't stop saying "habla, blah, blah!" Even now, LOL!!!
(Hablar is talk in Spanish, habla is the conjugation "you talk" if you didn't know : .) So clever!

I am psycho. I wanted to use these Creative Memories alpha stickers, but there were no "h's" left (on 3 sheets of stickers!), so I cut around the outside of what was left of the letters on the backing sheet. I'm very detail oriented and must have too much time on my hands!

Ace of diamonds.
